Question About online stock trading companies?

You can enter trade orders yourself without the aid of a sales person. All brokerage firms offer on-line services for their clients.

Customer need to select the site that is best for them. Traders have requirements in a site, while investors have other requirements.

Although most sites are geared to general securities and commodities, however customers may have special needs for the types of products they trade, and the markets in which they trade.

It seems that the most popular firms for on-line investing all of which provide excellent platforms and services are; Scottrade; Chas.Schwab; TDAmeritrade; Fidelity; E-Trade and Thinkorswim.

You should visit the sites and find one that appeals to you.

Please remember, the cheapest is not always the best.

Cheap is not a good criteria for selecting a brokerage firm, you should be looking at the firm's trading platform, their services and the type of business they are doing. If you want cheap, go to Sharebuilder but if you want good you go elsewhere.

It seems that the most popular firms for on-line investing all of which provide excellent platforms and services are; Scottrade; Chas.Schwab; TDAmeritrade; Fidelity; E-Trade and Thinkorswim. For buisiness reason I use Fidelity for investment trades but for trading I use Scottrade & Ameritrade, and for options

I use Thinkorswim. But you must decide what's best for you not what's best for someone else.

There are plenty of online brokerage companies that will do exactly what you want, fidelity, ameritrade, schwab, They generally charge around $8.95 - $12.95 a trade.

Brokerage for online trading is higher compare to local brokers available in your city. You can ask local broker to open account and you can ask them to buy stocks for you and you can even negotiate brokerage with them.

You trade through a broker ,who online will be an execution broker i.e. they only act on your given instructions. No advice is given and all decisions and responsibilty for the performance of your portfolio will be yours and yours alone.

I am not looking for helpful tools and a broker to tell me what to do, I have done my homework and know exactly where I want to invest. I was hoping there is a site that will allow me to simply add money to my account (via paypal, or debt card or whatever works) and then pick the stock I want and allow me to sell it when I see fit. I have already created my portfolio and dont think someone should take a huge commission for all my work. I simply want to be able to log on, pick the volume of stock i want to buy, and be able to sell it. I would prefer if it had a large number of trades per quarter (or w/e) but I was hoping to avoid a fee per trade.

Please i'm not exactly sure how to word it exactly, or if it is even possible but I do want to invest in a certain stock ASAP. I dont have a ton of money to invest, nor do I want direct investments in a company, I just want to be my own broker if you will.

thanks
