What does a day trader try to do?

How often do they buy and sell stocks?

What are they looking for when they buy and sell stocks

How much does it cost to make those trades?

There are various types of "day traders" but as a whole a "day" tader is one that will go into a position during the course of a trading session and before the market closes will close out the position so that they do not carry an open position overnight.

"Day traders" can eithr buy a security expecting it to move up in price or sell a security short with the expectation that the price will drop. Or I hav e had traders sell short near the opening and as the stock drop, go into the market and double up by buying the security - one cover the short position and the other to buy the security so that before the market closes they close out their purchase thus hoping to make a profit on both the short sale and the purchase.

Most professional traders really look at the market and how it is moving before they either buy or sell into a security. Professionals know what stock they want to trade and just "feel" the market.

Depending on the trader and how they clear the trade or who they work for, and how the order is executed, the cost of the trade varies, Clearing cost are usually fixed, execution cost varies according the markets while in-house or capital useage varies according to firms,. Regardless, charges on trades are not a factor for professionals, such charges are less than those charge to the general public

Day traders are trying to make small amounts of money on a lot of trades. They look for stocks that have high volatility and attempt to take advantage of this volatility by trading. The cost to make the trades depends upon what brokerage company they use. Typically it will be in the $4-$6 range. They will usually sell all their positions before the end of the trading day so that they are not caught in bad positions at the start of the next day.

Well

I've been trading the market for just a few months. My cousin actually told me about this website (http://pennystocks.toptips.org)and I signed up immediately after. This is my honest review about their method. I'm not someone who has a lot of time to be researching for ideas because I work many hours. they made it incredibly easy for me to make money in the market. Their reports are easy to read and follow. I've tracked most of the stock ideas that I've received in my e-mail from them and MANY have seen some nice gains after their announcements. I've made a nice profit (55% return on my investment on one, and 112% on the other!) on a couple of suggestions he's given and plan to start trading his ideas a lot more.
