Will silver hit $50 an ounce again?

I cannot predict a time frame, but I believe that it will eventually go higher than $50.

Silver prices are driven by several factors, one of which is consumption. Two other factors are those who buy as an investment, and the impact of the government economic programs. You seem to think consumption is a positive, I'm not convinced of that - it is neutral to positive maybe. Investment buying is slow and will continue to be slow - astute investors have moved on from precious metals...they are soooo 2011-12. Lastly is the big factor - with QE winding down, there will be tremendous downward pressure on commodity prices for the next 5 years at least. That will keep silver prices down, regardless of consumption demand.

Probably, but if you blink you will miss it....and unless you can trade it electronically and are watching 24/7/365, you will not be able to sell it fast enough to recover your investment anyway....

This is a link to some folks who are BULLISH on silver, but even THEIR data don't suggest silver will ever stabilize about US$50; http://www.zealllc.com/2011/cpisilv3.htm

Silver has been declining in value longer than the USA has existed, what makes you think that will ever change?

Silver (just like gold) does not DO anything to generate value, it just 'sits there' and looks pretty...

Don't waste your hard-earned money!

2042 is my guess.

Last two peaks were 1980 and 2011, so why not guess another 31years.

forget it, pal. graphene is coming. read up.
