I think you should take advice from the investment advisor but if I have this money then I would invest some money in the mutual funds and some money in the fixed term deposit or might buy gold or silver
Assuming you have no outstanding or overdue bills, I'd put it into an index fund.
If you don't have your college degree, I'd consider using the money to pay for school. Essentially, you'd be investing in yourself.
depending on your time horizon, and whether you can afford to have high risk (losses), be certain that diversification will help whatever you invest in. personally I would buy 100 shares of AAPL, 100 shares of INVN, 100 shares of FLR (Fluor, the engineering company world wide), 200 shares of TKMR (Tekmira, the e bola virus vaccine company), 200 QCOM, and 200 SBUX to start.
The amount you have isn't the issue. Your specific financial situation and goals are what matters. You're the only one who knows that.
