There is a school of thought that says to look at which asset classes returned the best in the previous year and take the 2nd highest asset class for the following year. Money magazine says that on average the 2nd best class performs best the following year. In 2014 that is large cap US stocks, so the S&P500 would be a good bet.
Well I think Index funds are not the best for investing but since it tracks a whole market you want to go with one that has a high rate of growth, so look for a fund that is based in brazil or china for the best possible returns
Vanguards Total Stock Market Index Fund has been
a winner for many years and should continue to be
one of the best index funds around.
SPX500? NASDAQ? What's hot for 2014 and years to come?
