They are exactly what you are looking for. They will explain your options, help you stay the course, and help you feel comfortable with investing.
I do not work for Edward Jones, and keep relatively little of my money there. But if I were in your shoes (nervous, lacking knowledge and skill, needing guidance and management), I would have all of my money there.
Try a couple of websites
Vanguard 2045 Target Fund (Fidelity and T Rowe Price have similar funds)
Couch Potato Investing (assetbuilders.com)
I am the publisher of a newsletter with a ten year track record that does just what you are looking to do. I tend to focus on smaller companies, so I may not be a good fit depending on what your objectives are. I provide no individualized advice. Some of the companies in the newsletter I have held for more than ten years. I have not figured it our, but I would guess that the average holding period is 3 to 5 years. If you think you may be interested my site is located at investletter.com. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and it may help you gain an idea as to whether it would be a good fit.
hi, all,
Can anyone recommend a good stock investment adviser service?
I am trying to better manage my IRA account and I always feel the stock market is like gambling. Plus I don't have time and skill to do such investment. So I am looking for some service just tell me what to buy, when to buy and when to get out. No day trading. Service fee will need to be affordable as well. Anyone knows?
Thanks.
