Going from undergrad directly to IBanker is a low probability event.
Good MBA programs expect you to work for 3-4 years before attending.
Let's assume that you are a star in undergrad, first job, MBA. Graduate at 22 + work for 4 years + 2 year MBA = age 28 when you might get interviews for IBanking competing against a horde of candidates with similarly stellar credentials.
Hey guys. I'm planning on being an investment banker and then move on to private equity. I want to do investment banking until I'm about 30. So 7 or 8 years of investment banking. I'll have an MBA, and I'm wondering how much I'd make in private equity? Please explain your answer and give reasons. Thanks!
