This is a very interesting question. I think most people would say it's easier to turn a thousand into two, but I think it's one million into two million. The main reason why is big investors have greater access to hedge funds and other high ROI investments while honestly there isn't much you can do with $1K in terms of investment.
The same, there both a small amount of funds, if you invested them the exact same you would make the same return, but if it was in the billions its harder to make an over all portfolio return
