Split it into 3 parts as 33% - 33% - 33% and allocate each part to invest in Stocks, Mutual Fund and FDs.. for longer run this will be better diversification to reduce risks.. However true safe returns and your risk appetaite depends on your age and commitents.. whatever I have mentioned is an universal formula.
