Wanna make my 401k Risky/Volatile?

You are confusing risky with aggressive. Risky is putting all your money on red at Vegas. As a young adult you want to create a portfolio that is aggressive. Your asset allocation should be 100% in stocks. This % should go down over time, but easily for the next 15-20 years an allocation of 100% in equities would be appropriate. A blend of the Russell small cap, Russell large cap, Russell growth, S&P midcap and S&P index as well as some exposure to the international markets with SSGA international index at no more than 18-23%. I commend you on getting started early. Stick with it and make regular contributions and you will be successful

Unable to read your chart, but if you want an aggresive and

risky portfolio, go with emerging markets and low priced stocks.

Stay away from bonds and income type funds. Watch out for

funds that have loads and high charges.

SSGA Agressive Balanced SL is aggressively weighted toward domestic stocks. Conservative Balanced SL is not aggressive.

The key is to hang on when the market drops. That's the wrong time to sell or to become afraid of stocks.

Just put it all in the 2050 Target Fund

Hello, I'm currently 19 and set my 401k up through Pentegra and the current picture shows my current allocation and the other options available also. I wanted to know if someone with experience with this stuff could tell me how I should allocate my investments to make my portfolio very risky. I'm young and I'm willing to take serious risk for a chance at high profit gains since I'll have time to recover from my losses.
