They are simply establishing and agreeing trades at a price - they may be selling or buying and are seeking a partner at an agreed price.
You should try with Penny Stocks Trading (you can find more info here: http://pennystocks.toptips.org)
Penny stocks, also known as cent stocks in some countries, are common shares of small public companies that trade at low prices per share.
I've been subscribing to this PennyStock web site for about a year now and have loved the objective advice they give. He really does look for quality stocks and I've made some pretty nice profits on a lot of his suggestions. Being still fairly new to investing I have been dabbling a lot in penny stocks to try and grow my account. I may not have a big account, but it's a lot bigger than it was a year ago. On just one of Nathan's picks this year I managed to make my investment back ten-fold! Be careful! Penny stocks are notoriously risky but if you follow the right method the risk is almost 0. I suggest to invest only little money first and then reinvest the profits. This is the site I'm using: http://pennystocks.toptips.org
Bye Bye
Last time I was in the pits, there were no "stock" traders only commodities traders.
It's confusing since stock traders don't work in the pits
Those traders and/or brokers that are working in the pits are trying to either buy or sell commodities, once you work there for about a week you'll understand what they are saying - not what they're doing. Some of those down there still don't know what they're doing - most of them do.
Stock traders DO NOT work in the pits, these are commodity traders
They are buying and selling commodiites, they are shouting their bid and offers and how much they are interested in. Once you work there you learn to understand everyword that is being said (or shouted)
It is not confusing, in fact it is very logical
They negotiate prices to sell and buy stocks at the appropriate piillars, there is a pillar for each type of stock; for example electronics would have their own pilllar, food corps would have their own,
This trading only happens at the new york stock exchange as NASDAQ is all online :)
They understand each other because there is a "slang" used; just like on da street brah
Good luck
If your talking about the people on the NYSE pit those are brokers representatives trying to place orders for their client at the best possible price. The reason why they go ape **** is because they want the cheapest price for their client.
It's an auction.
What is it that they start shouting? Are they selling/buying? If so, how do they understand each other? It looks awfully confusing!
