How does Warren Buffet predict which stocks will be a good investment?

Actually, the way he chooses stock is as Bruce said with some caveats. Buffett is an avowed value investor who only buys stocks in companies in industries he understands. He then goes into these companies, hires the right person to increase value (usually from within the company) and then rides the company as it recovers. He reinvests most of the earnings from these companies either back into the company or in other investments. In addition to "The Buffett Way" also read "Buffett: The Making of an American Capitalist" by Lowenstein - Lowenstein does a particularly good job explaining how Buffett picked his stocks (for a hobby, he read annual reports). And contrary to an earlier answer, Buffett actually does not belong to country clubs, etc. He is notoriously a loner who enjoys spending nights at home rather than at clubs, etc.

He started by pure luck like everyone else, now he gets offers and information’s about companies way before the market does, since he has that advantage he buy massive quantity of shares in that company then announce to the market how good that company is and buy few more stocks to entice people into buying, many people will jump in and buy the same stock, supply makes the share go up in price, waits for the volume to stabilizes, sells all his shares making a nice profit to reinvest in the next company.

And the cycle continues.

Call me a cynic here, but he is a member of the "inner circle" of people who get knowledge of companies that you and I don't. I'm sure everyone will jump on my answer and harp about insider trading laws, but all you need to do is be a member of a high end golf course and eavesdrop on the CEOs, broker dealers, and "power players" who share insider information.

I have no doubt he made money by a few fortunate moves early in his investing career, but now it is all smoke and mirrors (and the public is on the wrong side of the glass...)

Read "the essays of warren buffet", its a book by Warren Buffet himself.

And read "beating the street" by Peter Lynch.

These two book would give you insights on how to choose your stocks.

+ keep listening to bloomberg radio, reading the news, speculate the market, follow specific companies,

follow commentaries of investors.... you have wide online resources !

Warren Buffet is a value investor. He does not time the market or buy fads.

History, history told us that investing stock, in most of the time , is very profitable, Stock, by defination is a partial ownership of a business. And business goal is always to earn money for shareholders.

He then goes into these companies, hires the right person to increase value (usually from within the company) and then rides the company as it recovers

That's EASY ! He picks out the One He likes; & then buys out whatever product it sells- driving up the price of the Stock, which he SELLS- at a Profit !! ;)

Of course hes not going to tell the public what he does exactly, but im sure he more or less guides people in the right direction. What videos or articles from him have helped you? Can you give me links porfavor. And it doesnt have to be Warren it can be any successful investor
