I have traded stocks for 35 years. I can assure you that there is no easy answer to your question how stocks work - best to find a good book on the subject. However, that will NOT make you a successful trader. It took me many years and mistakes to be successful. Again, you should find an older person that has experience, you trust, and is willing to work with you. One of the many mistakes many people make is that they do not understand how "greed", "fear", and many other emotions affect the decision making process in the stock market. The only way you will "make some cash" without a lot of learning and experience is if you are very lucky. Might as well try the casino. There is no substitute for hard work - that will bring you the financial success you seek.

Okay. This is the way I get it.

People say "if you put your money into this stock by the end you can have double or even a million." So you put your money into a stock hoping to get some money. Putting your money into stocks is pretty much gambling. And if you do put your money in a stock DO NOT only put it in one.

P.S. My uncle used to be a millionaire and because he put his money into stocks he lost most of his money.
