MATX - Matson Inc a US shipping company that has containerships going between the US West Coast and Hawaii. Because of the Jones Act, only American-flagged and US built ships can carry goods between two American ports. This keeps out all of the foreign shipping companies because building ships here and using US crews is very expensive. The yield is 2.5% based on the current dividend. They have just ordered two more ships.

I'm not looking to get rich, just to keep my savings from disappearing. Any decent utility companies to invest in or something else?
