Unless you really do have thousands to play with, there really is nothing better than an index-tracker fund. This is a unit trust that invests in all the shares on whatever stock market index you choose and it actually does better than expert advice 75% of the time. I've never found any reason to do anything else.
Without a reasonable amount of knowledge, you are much more likely to lose than make a profit. Even experienced investors can lose money. Suggest that you start with fantasy trading; there are a few web sites offering this - http://www.bullbearings.co.uk/how.to.pla...
Hey there my names freddie and for a while I have been thinking about maybe investing in some shares. For a start I am very young ... 15 in fact so that kinda has ups and downs as in I am living with my parents so no rent bills or anything to pay out for but the downside is I don't have bounds of money. I have been working recently though and I have got a couple hundred pounds and I was wondering if it would be a good time to invet a very small amount of money to get a small return and generate some long term profits. Any suggestions or advice would be great thx .,, Freddie
