The people with credentials are called brokers. Brokers usually work for firms.
Then there are the companies trying to get investors and the less, then the penny stocks.
You probably wont get the best advice for free.
A good idea is to go a simple route like the internet sites for investing and then seeking out great companies.
Jim Kramer has a part on his show, where he just has random rich investors (well to me, they are like upper middle class people). These people call in to just tell him their portfolio (the list of companies they have stock in). Then they ask "sink or swim?" and he gives them this insanely perfect analysis of their investments.
So I figure probably a good idea to just copy Jim Cramer.
But mostly the big kicker is you need literally like $20,000 to start investing. I dont have any idea why, that's what I've always been told. Something about the losses being too much to absorb without something there incase.... But some people make it big on the penny stocks.
Thats the other thing. You have to locate all the investing stuff your self, the next direction is all up to you and no one wants to share their methods.
I love statistics because it helps me win sports and situational bets, and superbowl after superbowl. Eventually stats developes into stocks and its all about momentum and not losing momentum. Like. Call of duty 2 and the nuke. You can't just get a nuke you have to go without dying for a good amount of time. Some people can just do it in 30 seconds. Some people can do it in the normal time and never get hit. Eventually if you get that awesome prize you will see it only comes from a long series of amazingly great decisions, not actions. Like not a specific company, the fact you felt great and noticed the patterns of the companies or something like the movie limitless.
First step get registered and meet people and get burned then learn and do it correctly. just realize you will get burned and dont risk a lot when figuring out who and how they burn people (bad investments)
